Jean BUCQUET – Professional Cross-Cultural Coach and Trainer; Skilled Executive Manager
A French native, with dual citizenship in the United States and France, Jean Bucquet’s interest in culture began in youth, when, from his nanny, his first language was Russian. He subsequently went on to learn French, and study Russian, Latin and English, developing a rich fascination in history, including social customs.
What makes Jean’s experience unique is that he has occupied different management positions in France including CEO, General Manager and Vice President. Jean’s management experience also includes introducing and acclimating companies to international business standards in the EU and coaching executive staff for success. His experience as an upper level manager has given him a view and understanding of how organizations can function at their best.
As a consultant in France, Jean also has taught Business Communication, Time Management and Self Development as well as Sales and Marketing. Upon emigrating to the United States in 1999, Jean began coaching managers from a variety of international businesses in French Awareness. Clients ranged from the pharmaceutical industry, energy and oil, and television.
Jean’s experience in the cross-cultural arena includes communication strategies, management practices, business etiquette and understanding different values in French business. Jean has been customizing cross-cultural communication programs for a variety of clients ever since, specializing in one-on-one sessions as well as group training. Jean’s goal is to help people to communicate in any business situation on the basis of shared values and respect of cultural differences.
As an ice-breaker in French business, Jean introduces basic knowledge and conversational French to help clients to be welcomed when starting business with France.
Based in New Jersey, Jean works primarily in the U.S. and Europe.
